Two generations of women in Aceh, Indonesia are given loans and support to help them overcome the adversity they face from being widows or the children of women-headed households in this rural province. Joanah uses her loan to start harvesting salt again after a devastating tsunami. Fitria buys a sewing machine to start a drapery business, hoping to make more money and avoid working in the salt marsh like the older women in her village.
